Review: Brave New World

Brave New World
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I like the ambivalence in this book. Huxley shows us a meaningless consumerist world where individuals mean nothing and people live a drugged existence; and then the other extreme – a “savage reservation” full of prejudice and superstition. Could we ever be able to take the best of both worlds and discard the worst? It really makes you think about our own society today, in 2012.
